We visited the UNC Arboretum today. Daniel LOVED it. He kept saying, "Ooooh, look over here. Look at this tree. Look at these flowers!" The azaleas were just budding, so we could go back in a few weeks and see lots more. There were two really beautiful camelia bushes that he liked a lot. He brought home a fallen camelia blossom so carefully in his hand and we put it in a bowl of water to watch it for a couple of days.

Geocaching at UNC
We went geocaching around the UNC Belltower today. Daniel prefered digging in the dirt with a stick. Joseph and I found the geocache. The spring trees were beautiful.

Friend lunch March 24, 2011
Our friends Micah, Luke, Amy, Malachi, Melinie, Ezra, Buxton, and Stacy came to our house to play this morning and eat a pancake lunch with us. It was great fun!
Trip to Carrie's house in Edenton
Daniel and I drove to Edenton to visit our friends Carrie, Seth, Hugo, and Chris. As usual, I didn't take as many pictures as I meant to. These pictures are of our trip to the park, which is next to the sound. We had a wonderful time. The drive (3 hours) wasn't as bad as I thought. We may try to do it one more time before James Flower comes. This morning when we drove to the trash, Daniel said, "Let's go to Edenton!" I said, "We have to pack clothes and snacks before we go to Edenton." He said, "Let's go pack our clothes real fast!"
Pam and Betsy eat Korean food
This is my wonderful friend Pam. We ate Korean food together to celebrate my certification as a La Leche League leader. I am so thankful to know Pam. She is GREAT. Daniel adores her. When he saw this picture, he said, "That is when you went by yourself. I did not want you to go without me. Why did you go without me? Was I in your belly? Don't go with Pam without me."

Daniel's First Dentist Visit
He was AWESOME!
He sat in the chair and held his mouth open for the tooth counting and polishing. Dr. Lewis asked him, "Where did you get such great teeth?" He replied, "You know, God made me." It was such a great experience. Joseph and I are very relieved. So happy to know he has no cavities. We'll keep brushing, add in flossing, and go back next year.

Kure Beach March 2011
We went to Wilmington, North Carolina, to Kure Beach for the weekend. We stayed at the same place, The Seven Seas Inn, where we stayed when we went in October 2008. The weather was cool, but we bundled up and played in the sand. We also visited the NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher. They were having a special event displaying specimens of turtles, snakes, and frogs that children could see closely and touch (some). We all had THE MOST wonderful time. We can't wait to go again. We might try to sneak in one more trip before James Flower comes.
