Some things Mary Katherine said

First of all, I can't believe I haven't posted anything since November. We had an absolutely wonderful Christmas season. I hope I will get some pictures up, but who knows. I am de-cluttering the house in anticipation of Angie and Rita coming in a week. I found three scrap papers with notes of things Mary Katherine said. In January- "I'm Cinderella and you're the Godfather." In her sleep, she said clearly, "Mama, may I please have a bite of your candy cane?" Then two wonderful memories are MKC and GG playing hide and seek at Wynwood. Also, she asked to go outside by herself for the first time. It was 25 degrees, but she was certain she wanted to. I bundled her up, and she went outside for 4 minutes alone. She loved it! What a brave girl! Mary Katherine knows that we don't like to use the work "fart." In the van one day she said, "I farted. (I ignored her). I farted, Mama. I farted again. I am the farter. I am so the farter. Yep, yep, yep. I am the farter." In February, she told one of her first long stories. She was at the train table at Barnes and Noble. She was driving a train around and narrating. "They (trains) are going to Bethlehem and then the Land of Sweets (this is from the Nutcracker story). They rolled and rolled and rolled and rolled. They runned, and they got it. Then they crashed. Then they fixed them every day. (long pause) And Thomas rolled and rolled. They goed on the bumpies (the gravel road to Daniel's school) and they saw a train. (Then she came over and saw me writing) The sign says 'don't write.' Just write close to there (pointed to the side of my page) and stop."
